About
A small publication on the bottlenecks of artificial intelligence.
Strait of AI exists to do one thing carefully: map the bottlenecks through which access to artificial intelligence has to pass, and ask what they mean for the nations and institutions downstream of them.
The posture is observational. Standing at a bottleneck and occasionally testing the gate is what powers have always done; the work here is to see the map plainly, not to moralise about it. Condemnation is cheap and produces heat without light.
How to cite
Each dispatch has a stable, canonical URL and a citation block at its foot. The publication is meant to be quotable: if a passage is useful in a briefing, a paper, or a chamber, take it — with a link back to its source here.
Articles are also cross-posted to LinkedIn, but straitof.ai is the canonical home.
Contributing
Corrections, contradictions, missing evidence and better arguments are all welcome. The map improves with more navigators.
